Paul et Virginie

August Bournonville was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on August 21, 1805. A dancer, choreographer, ballet director and teacher who directed the Royal Danish Ballet for nearly 50 years, he established the Danish style of dance based on bravura dancing and expressive mime. His distinctive style is noted for its precision, neatness, lightness and gaiety. It is filled with bouncy jumps, speedy footwork, small quick steps and beats done while the upper body is held still.

Kevin Durwael

Kevin Durwael graduated from the Royal Ballet School Antwerp in 1998. After graduating Mr. Durwael was accepted into NDT2 (Nederlands Dans Theater) in Holland, were he danced and worked with Jiri Kylian. In 1999 he made the decision to move to Belgium to pursue his career in the Royal Ballet of Flanders. Currently Mr. Durwael is employed in the Royal Balletschool of Antwerp as Assistant Artistic Director, teacher, and choreographer

Stefano Nappi

Love Letters

Stefano Nappi is native of Naples, Italy. He began studying ballet at the age of 7 at Spazio Danza School, and graduated as a professional ballet dancer in 2000 from Teatro di San Carlo in Naples., Italy. He later moved to Rome to improve his skills and study acting, and then relocated to London in June 2013 where he taught ballet and contemporary dance. Since 2016 he has been based in New York.

Chopin for Two

Sally Streets performed with the New York City Ballet, Mia Slavenska's Ballet Variante, Pacific Ballet, and the Oakland Ballet. A highly respected teacher and choreographer, Ms. Streets has been a faculty member of many Bay Area schools and companies including San Francisco Ballet and Oakland Ballet. She has served as guest company teacher for the New York City Ballet and the Royal Ballet in London. Currently, Ms. Streets is the Artistic Director Emerita at Berkeley Ballet Theater.
