Choreographers

Houston Thomas

​​Houston was born and raised in Chicago, IL and began his training with Joffrey Ballet’s Outreach Program. In 2011, he started training with the School of American Ballet in NYC. In 2013, Houston joined the Dresden Semperoper Ballet and rose to the rank of second soloist. Houston has performed featured roles in works by George Balanchine, Sir Frederick Ashton, William Forsythe, David Dawson, and many more. After ten years with the company, Houston has decided to leave the Semperoper Ballet to focus on his choreography entirely. Houston has collaborated with and choreographed for the New York Choreographic Institute, The Juilliard School, School of American Ballet, ABT Studio Company, and more. CRB is so excited to be performing his work ‘The Return Studies’.


Troy Schumacher

Troy is an American choreographer, dancer, and director living in New York, NY. He is a soloist dancer with New York City Ballet and the founder and Artistic Director of BalletCollective. Schumacher’s work has been presented by NYCB, Martha Graham Dance Company, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lincoln Center, Performa, Danspace project, Guggenheim Works & Process, Guggenheim Bilbao, and Peak Performances, among others. He has collaborated with many internationally famous artists, in addition to ballet dancers, Broadway dancers, and opera performers. His work has been featured in the New York Times, New York Magazine, the New Yorker, Wall Street Journal, Vogue, and Dance Magazine, among other publications. CRB is thrilled to be performing his work, ‘Invisible Divide’ this semester.

Mollie Sansone

Mollie began her dance training in Charlotte, NC. She began her professional dance career with Nashville Ballet in 2004 where she has performed many iconic roles. In 2013, she was the recipient of the Individual Artist Fellowship awarded by the Tennessee Arts Commision. She has been a School of Nashville Ballet faculty member since 2005. Sansone premiered her first choreographic work in 2019 titled ‘Mash the Pigeon’ for Nashville Ballet 2. In 2022, she became the Resident Choreographer of Nashville Ballet. This past summer, she attended the UNCSA Choreographic Institute. CRB is so excited to be performing her work, ‘Bootleg Sugar Lips’, this fall
